At Dermatology Associates of Atlanta (DAA), we place a lot of importance on you feeling comfortable with our healthcare providers, and knowing enough about those providers to be able to trust them. As part of our efforts to help our patients (both current and future) feel more knowledgeable, we have been featuring our DAA providers on our blog over the past several months. Our latest spotlight is Mara P. Grosswald, PA-C.
As one of our Physician Assistants, Mara is an integral part of DAA, and her professional achievements demonstrate exactly why she’s so valuable. After graduating from the University of Georgia with her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Mara went on to complete her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of South Alabama. She received her certification from the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners of Georgia in 2000. As a member of valuable professional societies like the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, Mara is always striving to give her patients the best possible care.
Mara joined DAA in 2002. Since then, she has shown true expertise in many core procedures, both in the fields of cosmetic dermatology and general dermatology. Mara’s favorite specialties include miraDry® sweat reduction, CoolSculpting® fat reduction, and treatments to combat hair loss, just to name a few. She also has a great aptitude for helping children feel at ease and treating their unique dermatological needs. Though dermatology is her professional passion, Mara also loves spending time with her family and friends, including her two children. She also enjoys playing tennis and being in the beautiful Georgia outdoors.
